Tables & events
Long tables, lit properly.
Barn suppers, weddings, restaurant openings, and the occasional very large birthday. We pour, deliver, place, light, and collect, and we will tell you honestly if your table needs fewer candles than you think.
What we do
Four ways to light a room.
Long-table votives
$4 a glass, lent
Unscented votives in clear glass, delivered, placed, and lit. Returned by the Tuesday after. We count them.
Event pours
From $38 a glass
Twenty-four or more of one house scent, poured to order for a room, a bar, or a lobby. Two weeks’ notice.
Wedding favors
From $14 each
Three-ounce glasses in any house scent, wrapped in brown paper and cotton ribbon, with a tag in your handwriting or ours.
Hotels & restaurants
By arrangement
Standing orders for guest rooms and dining rooms, refilled on a schedule. Currently pouring for four hotels and six restaurants in the Bay Area.
A note on scent
Unscented, near food.
A scented candle on a dinner table is like a second conversation happening at the same volume as the first. For tables with food we only pour unscented votives, which is the one situation in which we will recommend an unscented anything.
Scent belongs where people gather before and after: the bar, the entry, the powder room. A single glass of Mission Fig by the door does more than forty on the table.
“Two hundred and twelve feet isn’t a table. It’s a road with chairs.”
June Hale
How it works
From a letter to a lit table.
- 01
Write a week ahead
Tell us the date, the room, the length of the table, and whether there will be food. There is usually food.
- 02
We walk the room
For anything over forty feet, June or Teodora will come and look, measure, and ask where the drafts are. Barns have opinions.
- 03
We pour and deliver
Glasses arrive the afternoon of, packed in crates. We light from the middle out, forty minutes before you sit.
- 04
We collect
The next morning, or at midnight if the venue needs the room. Breakage is on us. Souvenirs, within reason, are on you.

“We had ninety-six of their candles at the wedding. The marriage is going well so far. The candles were excellent.”
