The website

Everything on this site, including text, photography, and the Hale & Wick name and marks, belongs to Hale & Wick Candle Company or is used with permission. You’re welcome to link to us and to share our photographs with credit. Please don’t reproduce our product descriptions as your own; we wrote them slowly.

Products & prices

We describe our candles as accurately as we can. Because every glass is poured by hand, color, frosting, and fill line will vary slightly. Prices are in US dollars and may change with the cost of wax, which is to say, seasonally.

Brownies & Ice Cream is a candle and is not intended for consumption. The same applies to every other product we sell, but we have only been asked about this one.

Holds & orders

Glasses held by telephone are kept for seven days. Trade orders are subject to the terms of your trade account. We may decline or limit any order, including, for limited releases, to four per household.

Safety

Candles are open flames. Follow the care and safety instructions printed on every label and on our care page. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Hale & Wick is not responsible for damage or injury caused by misuse.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to a product is limited to the price you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under California law that cannot be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be heard in the courts of the City and County of San Francisco, which is a short walk from the shop.
