I have lived on Russian Hill for twenty-two years. It does not smell like “cedar, bergamot, and clean linen.” It smells like cable car brakes, eucalyptus, and somebody’s dryer vent.
This is false advertising.
Scent talk
I have lived on Russian Hill for twenty-two years. It does not smell like “cedar, bergamot, and clean linen.” It smells like cable car brakes, eucalyptus, and somebody’s dryer vent.
This is false advertising.
I also live on Russian Hill, and the candle smells more like Russian Hill than my apartment does.
This is a good challenge, and I took it seriously. Yesterday I walked Russian Hill from 7 to 9 in the morning with a notebook. My findings:
The 1000 block of Vallejo. Brown. June has thought about that fence for twelve years.
For completeness, we did once test a more accurate “Russian Hill (Brakes, Dryer, Fence)” with a small group of customers. Results: zero purchases. One person asked if we were okay.
June said 7 to 9. That is 120 minutes. Walking that route takes 118. Two minutes are unaccounted for.
Big Tallow, that is actually true, and it’s one of the reasons we don’t use it! Thank you for the assist.
I went and found the fence. It does smell like cedar. I’m upset.
We’re so sorry it’s upsetting. It is a very good fence. Please come by the shop afterwards if you need to sit down.
For newer members: “finding the fence” is what we now call it when you go to prove the shop wrong and come back with a candle.
